Wrong again, Cotto fought whoever his promotional company put in front of him. Be it Jennings, Clottey or Cintron. Since when did Cotto ever express his feelings fighting anyone much less calling out Kermit? Can you show me one article in where “Cotto” himself not his promotional company expressed any interest in fighting Cintron? Mind you, Clottey was WBO mandatory for Cotto if he didn’t face him he would’ve been stripped therefore it wasn’t HBO that forced fight but rather the sanctioning bodies.

Bob arum had “options” that were potential opponents for Cotto that included the name Cintron. Cotto didn’t care who was put in front of him as long as he was put in the WW mix. Clottey just so happened to be the WBO mandate for Cotto and was a durable opponent ,so therefore rather than pay Clottey (once again) step-aside money especially being part of the same promotional stable they made the fight and HBO took the bait.
