As a “former world champion”, how can you criticize Paul while seeing this as a chance to root for a bona fide disgrace?
I still take the entitled bum who’s been in actual boxing fights over the YouTuber knocking out UFC guys and claiming he’s a boxing star.

wth you talking about he fought a top lhw in fonfora when he first quit. Also its not like Paul is elite by any means. Chavez is just a ****ing moron. It's just mind boggling.

Pretty sure there's some people in this thread who could beat Jr. given some time to get in shape.

because jr redeemed himself in his last fight. this is prime jr we're talking about now.

If Paul was starting out as an amateur with zero exposure, would you have any negative thing to say about him?
I don’t care for him but he’s built a platform for himself and he’s choosing to pursue a dangerous sport despite being a multi millionaire by doing what every pro boxer has done.
Chavez is a joke, and got to where he is because of his dad. He was already a famous person before his first fight so how is that any different from Paul.
Hate is a terrible thing … let it go

Sure if Paul worked his way up. But he didn’t. He made a joke of the sport and used his fame (which he mooched off his brother for) and made a sideshow of boxing. Real boxing fans shouldn’t support that. Devalues the sport.
If Chavez Jr. gets this fight and beats Paul down the boxing world will rejoice. Jr. is a bum and a disgrace to his legendary fathers name but he’s been in actual boxing fights and has fought at a world class level unlike Paul.

Do you know how to read? I said he never fought at the elite level above 175 which is LHW. Whether Paul is elite or not doesn't change the fact that he is the naturally bigger guy which is exactly what Julio said. Believe me I have no faith in Chavez anymore whatsoever but he is smaller would be no different than fighting Woodley only difference is height.

So what happens if Paul beats a disgraced former actual boxer?

He “mooched off” his brother? Dude, I don’t like the two brothers but I don’t hate them. Let go of the hate. You will be at peace.

Chavez wins easily. Granted he’s a clown but he’s levels above Jake.
