How popular or relevant is Broner in the UK? Seriously? Broner of all guys!
He had a miniscule amateur backround

same as canelo did you watch his first 40 odd fights?

But for some reason benn has really rubbed ppl up the wrong way, he has way more haters than fans on this board and I think it's partially down to ppl thinking he's been gifted everything due to his hof father and not earned it, these are the same ppl who hate on ben Davison for no reason other than they are jealous of what position he's now in and feel he doesn't deserve it, I think it's time for some guys on here start acknowledging that benn has now earned his spot in the boxing world, don't hate for jelly reasons, actually have a valid reason if your gonna hate the guy
Great points. I've said also about being careful because of the Peynaud fight. He's come on a lot since then. And I don't get the anti silver spoon brigade. What's he supposed to do? Knock the opportunity back? And if you ask me he deserves more respect for how he's come on, being scrutinised under the spotlight on the big shows and having to live up to being compared to a famous successful dad. People start making comparisons after 1 bloody fight for goodness sake. That's more pressure than your small hall fighter has to deal with, so fair play to lad I say.

Guerrero retired after getting beat up by Omar Figueroa and came back to fight a bunch lower level fighters since with the exception of a shot Victor Ortiz. Broner hasn't fought at the championship level since the Pacquiao fight and he looked terrible in his comeback fight that he arguably lost. Get over Benn you're hanging off his sack big time if his promoter is saying he's ready for a title shot soon why is he taking a step backwards?

Hearn putting his eggs in one basket again.
He never learns. Broner would now ask for $20 mil.

Why not throw Ennis' name as well? Both Benn and Ennis are untested.

You can also have Josesito Lopez if you want a showcase fight.
                Lopez will have his moments.

Please don't try to twist what I'm saying. All I said was, where will he be in another 8 fights. That's a suggestion that he will be more experienced and with that perhaps a better fighter. But that's not to say he will be better than Ennis, and I didn't claim he would be. The point I was making originally, in response to someone else's comment, was that Benn is way behind a lot of fighters mentioned ( some past, some present ), in terms of experience for his age. I've made no claims on Benn being better than anyone. And to say that Ennis and Benns amatuer experience is about the same is not correct either. Benn had a handful of fights over in Austria. Ennis has medaled a few times in the golden gloves and also in the USA national youth championships. You mention Loma, but that just backs up my comments. Loma has vast amateur experience, meaning he can fight at a much higher level in much less fights. I'm sure if Benn had around 400 amateur fights he'd be doing the same. But he doesn't. And that's my point. And I've never claimed Ennis has called Benn out. That's because he hasn't. It's his fans that keep putting both their names in the same sentence. So again, my point on that is perhaps his fans need to look forward as he is doing. You said it yourself he's calling out the beltholders. And so he should. But his fans need to get on the same wavelength and look forward, and stop fretting about what Benn is doing. Their obsession with Benn is pathetic, and he is clearly living in their heads rent free. In a nutshell.
                  ———
There is no obsession with Benn. It is just laughable that his team look at Broner as a relevant guy at WW.
We are mocking Thurman for fighting Barrios who just got KO’d in his last fight by a guy that fights at 135.
Benn should have fought Thurman. That’s a huge step up and a good test for Benn. A winnable fight. Benn beats Broner easily and that’s why Benn gets slammed for clamoring for a silly meaningless fight.

No I did not BUT Canelo did step up to fight Floyd at 23 years old. He then fought Lara and Cotto before he was 25.
You are literally making my point.

And why do yall keep throwing Boots' name out there like he's somebody right now?

He and Benn have had the same level of competition thus far, so why is he this world beater all of a sudden? I swear, boxing fans claim they're so plugged in but start this same LOSER fantasy fight argument to make themselves feel better when they KNOW these fights don't just "happen" as easily as fans rattle them off.

                      Stop it.

Those aren’t big names at this time. Broner and Guerrero are irrelevant. And you speaking as a plugged in boxing fan should know that.
Benn is ready for a guy like Thurman. I think he beats Thurman and catapults him into the same contender position guys like Ennis are at.

If Ennis was to go after Broner or Guerrero, he would get the same backlash so it’s not like anyone is anointing him the 2nd coming of Floyd.
