Yes. He fought Austin Trout and Erislandy Lara when he didn't have to, for example.

Lol..... I've followed your comment on this site & I can tell that you're an intelligent person, even though we don't agree on everything & that's why I'm sure that if I asked you to pick & tear this example apart, you would do it easily
by the way, canelo said he's not involved in the match making, that's a part of Eddy's job description, the question then is, do you really believe Eddy would match canelo with usyk at heavyweight?

          A former welter?

If Usyk was unified heavyweight champion then yes, I do believe Canelo would take a look at making that fight. It would likely be his only realistic chance at winning belts at heavyweight since he is too small for someone like Tyson Fury.

He's certainly not afraid to try and has proven himself to be more of a risk taker than most of his contemporaries in boxing. His resume proves it.

Yea albeit at the age of 15 but it’s still an accurate statement

It's been a while since the WBC has talked about changing Cruiserweight back to the original limit of 190 pounds. My thoughts on this fight are very different at the newer 200 pound limit compared to the original 190 pound limit.

Until we know if/when the WBC is changing the Cruiserweight limit, analyzing Canelo's potential success at Cruiserweight is difficult.

Bro...according to him, what we see is a product of Eddy's matchmaking, not his desire to take risk, there's no risk at all in fighting usyk(let's say Eddy had the courage to throw him in)because most people expect usyk to win, so when the outcome is a loss, everyone would be like, well...., Be dared to be great......& If by chance he wins, he's the second greatest ever

Taking risk would be fighting someone like benavidez, high risk low reward(now that's actual risk taking), by the way I think he wins that fight, but it brings more of what I'd call (an assumed air of uncertainty) with it, especially when compared to the makabu fight
