He may not be C level but he had a chance to fight Joshua and passed it over twice. Ortiz doesn't back up what he says. Fighters like Chisora can claim they gave good fights but don't get the win. Ortiz is on the same path as Chisora, but I know Chisora would have taken the Joshua fight.
Ortiz vs Martin will be the biggest non-event in 2022, both C level heavyweights

I quite like the match up. I'm looking forward to it. Yes it isn't A level v A level but there is only so many of those per division (and some of them never happen).. No way is it PPV worthy but that's another argument.Comment

Ortiz is elite, and clearly a PPV star. Charles Martin is still world-class. He's much better than Mike Tyson ever was. Don't judge him by the Joshua loss, his shorts were way too tight, impossible to fight in those, and for the Kownacki loss, he was ****ing Asian whores and not training, so he never really lost that one either. Charles Martin is an unbeaten warrior in Nash's mind. Nash out.Comment

Problem with this division is jury is still out who the real top dog is.
With US-based fighters being too inactive and their penchant for meaningless fights.
Deontay Wilder's biggest win is still Luis Ortiz. That's not even contestable.
Ortiz cherrypicked bums in between Wilder fights. He's only fighting Martin
because he ran out of bums. And who is Charles Martin?
Then there is Wilder himself who probably only have one fight left.
So Fury's biggest win is still Wilder, whose biggest win is Ortiz.
How can you get a real picture of that?Last edited by rickJen; 12-26-2021, 10:25 AM.Comment

IDK I would put Ortiz B-???Let’s be real though, what HW’s aren’t C level?
Fury is A level, Usyk is maybe A level too.
Wilder and Joshua are B level.
The rest are C level or below. Aside from maybe a few prospects who are potentially above that but are yet to truly prove that.
It’s nowhere near PPV worthy but it’s not a terrible matchup. Ortiz is definitely a top 10 guy and Martin is probably top 20 maybe top 15.
I think he's slightly better than a C.

Maybe because Ortiz is considered high risk low reward??? He's a good fighter if you can't see that then YDKSAB! And that can't be deniedProblem with this division is jury is still out who the real top dog is.

Whyte got KTFO by an old man and I would bet Ortiz would KO Whyte also... WHYTE would have 2 losses by 50 year old men.
Whyte highly over rated by Brits who think he's Scottie Pippin to AJ Michael Jordan.

You people need to stop this he's being avoided nonsense.
He and his dumb team turned down offers and preferred PBC protection program.
His team ignored guys like Joyce, Wallin, Povetkin, Whyte, Joshua.
They're now begging for fights because they ran out bums to feast on.Comment

Whyte got out of a SIGNED fight with Wallin and now asking for 45% is telling me he don't want Fury. He didn't even make close to that against AJ.You people need to stop this he's being avoided nonsense.
