I am fan of his talent, but I can't find a way to defend him..he chilled his whole career away.. talented, not sure it was that no one wanted to fight him, I could name 10 Mejicanos in or around his weight class. If he ever gets another A- lister he'll lose, just because has gotten long in the tooth.

I'm not dis*****g Gary Russell's talent, but his career is comical. He could have been a real name in boxing, but due to, I don't know what, laziness, fear of more defeats or whatever, the dude is not gonna be remembered 2 years after he retires. He's barely known now and he's an 'active fighter'. Nash out.

Gary is a wonderful talent but he would be a much better broadcaster because his talking is Hall of Fame material! The problem is we want to see you fight and fight somebody or at least go to Jr. Lightweight and talk that crap!

Gary Russell, Jr definitely needs to stay more active because time is running out on his career. He is wasting his prime away by fighting no hopers and only once a year. I say this not as a hater but as a typical boxing fan without any agendas, angles or ulterior motives.
