This isn't like Cotto..and I highly doubt that it's "over-confidence" because he's taking this fight very seriously!..obviously he's already been training hard!!..

I'm guessing that he's subliminally calling Ricky Hatton out for another HUGE payday..which I think would be a fairly decent fight..in which I wouldn't doubt that Cotto would DEMOLISH Hatton..but in a more punishing matter then the KO's of Mayweather and Pacquiao..

how would this fight do in numbers in Yankee Stadium?.

Of course the Ricans would be lined up being that it's in NYC and in Yankee stadium..and I think that Ricky has a strong following no matter if he wins or loses..I mean look at how he had the MGM on the night of Pacquiao-Hatton..and he had just got KO'd 2 fights prior to that..

So is Cotto just bein an ******* in calling Ricky Hatton overrated..or is there something to it..like subliminally calling him out??..
both coming off losses to PAcquiao....He knows the inevitable!

The Hatton of 2005 is exactly the same as the 2009 version, the only difference is the 2005 was madly overated version, the 2009 is the exposed version. Any version would easily get ***ed up by Cotto.

Could be, but I think that he just wants to make it clear that he aint Hatton (aka he aint getting KTFO in 2).

            Nah man..

I think Ricky Hatton has always had the same style..he's always been a bully..come foward hands down, clinch-star..

Cotto-Hatton at 140 woulda been 50-50 tho..due to many factors...such as experience, weight issues, etc..but at 147..in 2005-2009 Cotto wrecks Hattons world!!..

yes, but in 2005, he was quicker, sharper, and had much better punch resistance than he does today.

i dont see it like that, we seen what an effective pressure fighter did to cotto. And what im saying is, that in 2005 hatton was one of the best at pressuring an opponent. i agree hatton would find it much harder at 147, but then again hatton aint a welterweight.

Very true..but he doesn't bring the size or much power..I would see it much like Cotto-Clottey..although it would be a lil easier for Cotto because there would be less size on him...

                      Only thing I'd be worried about..is Hatton's body attack..it was awesome..and underrated..but I don't think it was ever better than Cotto's even at 140..
