I get that most people see this as a poor choice of opponent. But the facts are that Broner is a bigger name than most if the names being mentioned, even if he is washed up. That's just facts. When you gave Gervonta Davis cashing in on his popularity against less than stellar opponents, then who can begrudge Benn a big money making, profile raising opportunity. Well the haters I suppose. This fight sells out the 02 arena in London no problem. So I say, no brainer, not no Broner. Let the guy build his status and earn some money, and then we can see him hopefully step it up after that.

Why doesn't he fight the same an American hype job would at the same point in his career then if he's protected lets see .. same point in career for Jared Ennis he fought Mike Arnaoutis 26 10 losses 2 draws . So if Benn is over protected then how bad is Ennis then ???

They are calling out Benn all the time but Eddie spends most of his time looking for shot named opponents for Benn. Even wondering if one might come out of retirement to fight him .This is typical Eddie Hearn .....the business model .

Deep down his dad must be ashamed man, I was a big Nigel fan myself and look who Nigel fought to get a legitimate title shot. He’d been in there with Watson, Eubank, DeWitt, Barkley, Simms, Sugar Boy before he even got to Galvano. Beating Broner is meaingless at this point. He's been exposed and embarrassed too much for it to matter. Giving that career crook a handout just to have him on your record is quite sad. However the crtiques from some above are dumb. Ortiz amd Ennis wouldn't pass on fighting Broner either. It's a step backwards for all these guys, but not one would pass it up.
