Now he wants to fight a nobody and cherry pick cruiser like he did with shot Kovalev 36 1/2 yrs old, KO'D twice, old brittle shot version. all the while there are 8 top class legit fighters being ignored. GTFOH.

Canelo knows what he’s doing and also knows that his fans are dumb as rocks , so they’ll support him regardless of who he fights. Like I said before, fighting a better quality opponent in a smaller weight class is better than belt chasing a lesser opponent in a larger weight class. 99% of these canelo groupies defending this fight hadn’t even heard of this Mutombo guy before last month.

What annoys me about Canelo is that he takes safe fights then makes excuses for them. Mayweather was a gold digger but at least he admitted it. Every single name fighter canelo defeated was in their thirties. Hell wait till beterbiev is old and past it before he fights him.

I do believe Benavidez was best @ 168, but he blew it, up his nose, and on the scale! Charlo is not challenging himself either! He should challenge Morrell Jr. and put himself in line for a title @ 168 (Like Benavidez is), or he should fight Andrade on PBC! Hearn said he's willing to do it, so do it!

Well said Canelo. He would fight Charlo and Benavides and they will say that he is avoiding Beterbiev. He fights Beterbiev they will say that he is avoiding the other two mentioned. There is no winning for him. At least he can demand what fighters he wants to face and is not stuck in some promotional company.

For all his fans agreeing to CCC's dumb comments, what did Fielding and Yildirim bring to the table that is more than what Benavidez and Charlo bring?
Fact is that CCC went to a weak division, relatively speaking, to unify when there was unfinished business @ 160.
Also, when has CCC fought someone that looked good in their previous fight? His fans act like he's so great because he fights these big names like GGG, Jacobs, Kovalev, etc. but the common denominator they all have was that they showed signs of declining before CCC was interested.
Think I'm just a hater? Look it up and hell, think about the recent news of CCC being interested in Beterbiev after this weekend's fight where he looked vulnerable. He never even mentioned his name before, just like with the rest.
GGG called him out for years and it wasn't until he looked vulnerable vs Jacobs when CCC finally seemed to have grown the cojones to fight him. He definitely lost that first fight and the second could've gone either way but the fact remains that he wanted no part of GGG when GGG was destroying all his opponents.
Same with Jacobs - he may have even lost the fight against Derevyanchencko right before CCC mentioned him- and all of a sudden here comes CCC acting all tough.
Kovalev - let's not forget the fight vs Yarde ~2 months prior where he gassed out. He already been showing signs of declining for years but of course, no one mentions that when they talk about CCC beating him.
So no, no one is hating and that's usually what people say when cornered about something they know is true. Sure, if they just blindly say you're ducking them, that would make sense. But, there is plenty of substance to claims that he's avoiding some fighters. IDK if Charlo is one of them but Andrade is definitely one that CCC seems to be avoiding for years too and he absolutely brings more to the table than Fielding and Yildirim.

caleb plant being the top ranked guy at 168 shows just how laughable that division was. he hadnt fought anyone. and who else? callum smith was undefeated cause they gave him a gift in his fight before canelo, clearly doesnt count. oh yeah saundes the bloat bag was undefeated but had no business at 168 and looked like sh-ite winning a fake belt against some random bum and looking horrible. plant was the only ok fighter he has fought lately. what a shame canelo was hidign out there saying he was too small for 175. we now know that was a lie but then again we already knew that cause he did the same thing with ggg and 155
