According to Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather Jr. needs to make a statement against Juan Manuel Marquez on September 19. A decision win is not enough, he says Mayweather needs to win the fight with a knockout. Mayweather makes his return to boxing after nearly two years of being away from the ring.

I think Oscar got hit way too many times by Manny. It's the other way around. Marquez is the one that needs a knockout. Oscar should know better than anyone that the better known fighter gets the decision in Vegas. Floyd can outbox Juan all night and get the UD. Marquez needs to KO Floyd, otherwise no win for him.
