If Don King is involved then they shouldn't go through with it. That guy will ask for $15 million since his guy is the champion and whatever TV network gets the fight will essentially be buying Canelo his belt with very little to be profited in return. Canelo alone will be asking close to $40 million.

He should call himself Canelo "I'll fight elite fighters once they're are over 35" Alvarez. Let this sink in- he hasn't fought a single dangerous, elite level fighter who would be in their prime. They all were members of "over 35" club and show they are on the slide. Beterbiev is next. But to be sure Canelo will wait until Beterbiev is 37-38. It would be naive to think it's anything, but a carefully thought out plan. And it's not like Canelo himself is a B-level fighter. Plus the meat, let's not forget that.

Beterbiev is a better boxer now than he was several years ago. He also is just as strong. Not much slippage if any. Besides being 36, he’s the unified champion at 175lbs. That is why Canelo should fight him for his legacy. If Canelo wants to put himself as one of the greatest boxers, then fight Beterbiev. We’ll know that he’s ducking if he doesn’t mention Beterbive’s name after asking about fighting him before the Browne fight.

You sure this isn't some confusion with the language barrier? i find it EXTREMELY hard to understand a trainer would not tell his boxer that he will be jumping 2 weight classes to fight for a title.
