Who doesn't know makabu?? He's been around for years ffs

On the other hand if he fights Beterbiev and win they will say he was over 35 years old. If he goes after Bivol and wins they will say the he was the weakest champ of the division. If he fights Benavides at 168 and beats him they will say that Benavides couldn't do the weight anymore. Fighting GGG has already people crying that he is too old.

There is no winning for Canelo.
If he took the trilogy with ggg when it mattered he would have been winning but nope, f that it was too close for nelos liking

I wish he would had taken the 3rd fight. The previous 2 fights were very good fights and it would have answered more questions or have the same result.

He should call himself Canelo "I'll fight elite fighters once they're are over 35" Alvarez. Let this sink in- he hasn't fought a single dangerous, elite level fighter who would be in their prime. They all were members of "over 35" club and show they are on the slide. Beterbiev is next. But to be sure Canelo will wait until Beterbiev is 37-38. It would be naive to think it's anything, but a carefully thought out plan. And it's not like Canelo himself is a B-level fighter. Plus the meat, let's not forget that.
              How old are the following:

              Callum Smith
              Billy J Saunders
              Caleb Plant

Which one is the weakest champ and which one is the strongest champ?

He destroyed all of them in 11 months.

Are they elite and dangerous? I didn't know that. Being in your prime doesn't mean elite and dangerous. Beterbiev might not be elite, probably, but sure as hell he's dangerous and he's 36.

Okolie and Breidis are the strongest in the CW division. Do you think they'd be unavailable if he called one of them out? The other 2 are, logically, the weakest.

Canelo knows what he's doing for his career and why. He takes no chances anymore. He miscalculated with Mayweather and GGG, it won't happen again. Let's be honest about it even though he is an excellent and HOF fighter already even if he doesn't fight a CW.

                  They’re elite, but don’t appear dangerous….when they’re fighting Canelo.

So before it was about fighting them in their prime, and picking the weakest, now it’s some other ****, after I showed he fought the weakest and strongest champions in the division.

                  He literally can’t win.

There is nothing elite about them. Nothing. They are from good to very good, but not A+ elite.

The fact that "he can't win" is on him. Some people see through his methods of meticulously selecting opponents and timing of that selection. With his level of skill he should be more fearless and less cautious. He himself is elite, but I wouldn't make him to be some God of boxing either. He did lose to a 35 y.o. GGG. In my book it doesn't nullify his elite status, but it raises GGG's status and definitely doesn't allow me to worship Canelo as the next incarnation of Ali.
