    Rating Mayweather’s Offense

    Pros:
    GOAT jab downstairs

Knew every jab in the book

    effective bodypuncher when necessary

    Laser accurate rights

most elegant pull counter and check hook ever

    Set compubox record

    Cons:
    No fight stopping power

Low volume more often than not

    Rarely threw combos

Agreed. He never was a huge combination puncher and was not much of a finisher. I read somewhere that his punch technique wasnt good and thats why he got so many hand injuries.

      Floyd would neutralize opponents punches

but it was damn hard to neutralize any one of his shots

Cotto did great. No opening for Floyd’s str8 right

Cotto made Floyd throw the right around his guard

          I like the accuracy though

I rather watch a highly accurate guy with low volume

          than a Shawn porter

very active style with wildly inaccurate strikes

He had really good offense, he just didnt have big power after 140. It was better than paulie malinaggi, it was enough pop to keep guys hesitant to throw, people threw less punches than usual because they were afraid of eating a fast counter.

If he had power at 147 then there wouldnt even be bickering over if he was the greatest of all time or not. stopping power was the only thing he was lacking

If Floyd packed 1PKO power, it would have been illegal for him to box

Underrated offense and power. Had decent pop until the end and smacked Canelo's head around a lot more than anyone has since GGG.

For sure. Floyd is so much more interesting than Porter.

Porter puts me to sleep with his boring, one dimensional style.
