Shout-out to Yuniesky and Del Boy

Just wanted to give a shout out to Gonzalez and Chisora for showing hearts of lions in their respective fights. Both are past peak and in the final stages of their careers, yet they absorbed savage beatings and refused to quit, throwing bombs back at their opponents.

Both fights could have been blowouts, but these two left everything in the ring and we got entertaining scraps out of it. It was something to see both of them spent physically and emotionally after gutting it out so many rounds. Hats off to those warriors and thank you for the entertainment.

For sure,both guys left everything in the ring yesterday. Gonzalez was literally the walking dead from round 3 on,was incredible he fought on as long ass he did. His emotions/crying in his post fight interview was both heartbreaking and endearing,lump in my throat the size of a beach ball watching that.....good stuff.

I feel like most refs would have waved off either fight if it wasn't for A) Being in Texas B) Del boy being the hometown fighter (UK refs often wave it off when the challenger or out of towner is hurt)

Not to take away from the nice sentiments of your thread however. I do agree they put on a hell of a show.

I remember when Gonzalez was seen as a potential prospect... He showed glimpses of that last night... Reality check for Zurdo and a warning to not want anything to do with the top LHW dogs in 2022... Put any of them in the ring last night and Zurdo would be out on a stretcher...

First fight I saw of Yuniesky was his war with Pascal. Dude was menacing, explosive and threw punches with bad intentions. His bad footwork and balance were evident back then but he was very much a monster.
