Over analyzing Lomachenko not KO win over commey

    Really?

I understand sports always provide discourse because we are not in the fighters head--but loma did what ever he wanted the entire fight --it looked like a sparing session-

He lost the "killer instinct" ideas are a little crazy---he looked brilliant--not every boxer needs to be a KO artist to be great. His timing was incredible, he hurt commey many times.

floyd, joe calzag come to mind--volume and punch output with good cardio breeds better fighters, and fighters that can extend their legacy --

Reminds me of diabetic old journalist DAN RAFAEL. He always discredited fighters for not going to "war" and fighting a 12 round fight.

I run triathlons and have been in a few fights that went the distance on concrete-( I won both)--the thing that stood out to me is how easily it is to expunge energy early out of anger or emotions, A fighter that knows how to pace his cardio may be more talented just in that fact. Or a fighter that knows when to step on the gas(adrenaline)and when to not. It is not an easy task when another man is hitting you in the head, trying to hurt you.

    Fans are weird

    To add to this--

Loma had moments where he looked at Commey with " I cannot beat a dog while it is down"

It makes him a better person sure---but does it make him a lesser fighter?

I am sure if it were teofimo he would have went kill mode and stepped on the gas..

It was a good performance overall. I just highly doubt that Loma let him off the hook, if he could've stopped him he would've. Had to take the 8th round off following his effort to end the fight in the 7th. He was practically begging Commey's corner to stop it, he badly wanted the stoppage.

I just don't agree with this narrative that Loma could've stopped him if he wanted to but he's this great merciful guy that let Commey finish the fight. He was up against a decent guy who was significantly bigger and while Commey was losing most of the rounds, was able to make them competitive. It reminded me of his performance against Luke Campbell who also lost quite clearly but was competitive in most of the rounds.
