Whyte would rather make $300,000 with a chance to win a vacant title than make 3 million to get smashed by Fury.

Exactly. I reckon he's worth 30% of the fight at the outside. If he refused that then it's him ducking.

By some maybe. Not by most. Too many inconsistencies.

There's not a single credible sanctioning body, network, promoter or manager who considers the IBO a recognized world championship.

No, it's not arguably the most coveted title. The WBC is clearly the most coveted title. Always has been and likely always will be.

Second to that is the lineal title.

Way way way down the list is the Ring Magazine title. Once Oscar De La Hoya purchased Ring Magazine, and countless editors and ratings committee members came forward about Oscar corrupting the ratings, the Ring Magazine title became worthless.

Earned it how? Tyson Fury's guarantee in his last fight was 20x higher than Whyte's. Whyte is honestly lucky the WBC didn't order a 90/10 split. Fury's filed purse was 10 million and he likely made 25 million. Whyte's filed purse was half a million and if he's lucky he made 1-2 million.

denium , how do you follow this awful disappointing weight class? Notice that its usually the same Brits that keep these Tyson Phooey threads alive? As a real hardcore boxing fan, I tell you that this is cringy stuff.

The WBC ordered 20%, which is very fair to Whyte considering Fury has made 20x more than Whyte in recent fights.

Poor Andy. First he was a sub, now he's a sub for a sub. That's how fast things change.
