Anyway, if we thought the Soence-Crawfish fight had low odds, the odds will be drastically lower if Spence beats Ugas. PBC are not risking losing all of their belts at 147 for some guy to walk off with.El_Mero likes this.

For years the Spence fans suggesting everything was Crawford's fault. Well, Crawford fought a PBC guy first like you called for, and now he left Arum like you all wanted. But still Spence doesn't fight him. I can't think any other fighter who gets defended like Spence. When Canelo moves to a new weight, people say "why doesn't he fight the number 1 guy instantly instead of cherry picking?" but Spence has been in the same division his whole career and still only facing the 4th or 5th best guy at the weight.
By your own logic, Crawford is definitely fighting Ortiz or Ennis next, right? Or are these high standards only reserved for fighters you don't like?Last edited by Gary Coleman; 12-19-2021, 01:33 PM.aboutfkntime likes this.

You guys love fights like Spence vs Mikey and Spence vs Danny because you know going in that he'd win. It's just a showcase. You also know he beats Ugas, but not sure he beats Crawford, so you want the Ugas fight.
Let’s leave the name calling and stick to basic FACTS.
Crawford’s resume at 147 includes Brook and Porter … both of whom Spence beat and Brook was way past his prime. It also includes Khan. That alone is a sign of a boxer not wanting to challenge himself. The remaining 3 guys are all irrelevant at WW.
Spence traveled to England to win his belt. He didn’t fight a guy that got a gift decision (Horn) to get a belt.
Mikey Garcia was a dumb fight. Garcia had no shot at beating Spence and was too small. As a Spence fan, I can still call that fight a farce and still remain a fan.
A year ago, I believed Spence would beat Crawford. I don’t hold those sentiments anymore. I’d like to see them fight. A 60/40 purse split in favor of Spence is fair but to make the fight happen, Spence has to agree to a 50/50 split. If he does not, all blame goes to him.

Spence will unify with Ugas and then go to 154.I would love to see Ugas upset the apple cart and hand Spence a loss.

I lean toward your argument...
there is no debate that Crawford/Spence is the fight that should happen
there is also no debate that Spence does not seem interested in that fight
and if you know boxing, you can see that boots is one of the top 2-3 welterweights on the planet
imho... he is 2nd, at worst... but he has not earned the right to demand anything at this point... certainly not to stand in the way of a unification
his point... that Ugas is not the best welterweight on the planet, is correct... but the following facts exist...
FACT: Ugas is a excellent opponent
FACT: that is a great fight, regardless
