Yeah that's what I thought. Haymon will have smoothed it over with Schafer on the Stanionis part easily enough, but Haymon and DiBella have fallen out apparently, so shafting Butaev will not upset him lol.

Good. It was criminal that they were forcing Ugas to compete in a tournament when he is trying to unify the titles. I think he has a better shot now than he would have if Spence wasn't out because of the injury. As of right now, Spence has not fought since December 2020.

When Canelo moves to a new weight, people say "why doesn't he fight the number 1 guy instantly instead of cherry picking?" but Spence has been in the same division his whole career and still only facing the 4th or 5th best guy at the weight.

He never said any such thing. Arum said he wouldn't make the fight because Crawford can't sell PVP's. Arum actually tried to set him up to fight Pac, but dummy Crawford out bid himself. He wanted $10 million. He's never made $10 million in his life. Like you said, Ortiz and Boots are out there, Crawford can fight one of them.

Spence's resume in his divison is better that Canelo's. Canelo's only top comp fight was GGG, the rest were paper champs, Spence fought some of the best in his division, Garcia, Porter were not 4 or 5 best at the time and these guys were proven, true most of Canelo fights were with belt holders but we all know what the criteria is for that is at times, None of those guys met the eye test.

Yeah, good fight but how in the hell these two get shots at belts when Boots and Ortiz have twice as many fights and are much better fighters. This is what gives belts less prestige,value and indicator of greatness. This kind of Bull is why people are tainting Canelo's wins, bums holding belts were just not allowed in the 70s and 80s, if you had a belt you were pretty damn good. Not so today. Butaev holding a belt when Boots or Ortiz outside looking in would not have happened then

Spence has said repeatedly that his plan was Danny Garcia, Pac, and then Bud. He'll have three belts and Bud will have one can't argue A-side then. Also Canelo ran from 160 but he'll go to 160 for Spence those are his words btw. I can provide links for all this so tread lightly

It was Ugas who was pushing for this fight. He believes that he's the best and is willing to get in there with anyone to prove it. As a fight fan ,I have to respect that. Sleep on Ugas if you want but on any given night he can beat any of those guys.
