Canelo would be cautious as he did with Golovkin. Beterbiev’s hands are so fkin heavy that he is a type of puncher who hurts opponents just by touching them.

Canelo is going to have to outbox this guy to a decision and it’s not going to be easy.

Huge former Canelo fan here. I didn't care about his Euro tour or Caleb Plant. Beterbiev is a branch too far. If he can beat him in style, he can retire as a memorable boxer, young. The BS cruiser experiment doesn't do anything for me.

Lol, if Canelo wants to beat Beterbiev, he must outbox him without any risk in trading shots. Canelo`s chin seems to be good, but it was never tested by a puncher like Artur is.

Only id.iots think Canelo can fight Beterbiev the same way he fought Saunders or Plant.

Nobody saying he his more skilled, or faster etc. My point is Beterbiev isn’t so big, tall, and with such a long reach that he necessarily beats a more skilled fighter in Canelo on his physical advantages alone. I’m not saying that Beterbiev isn’t beastly, he could beat guys much bigger than himself I’m sure. I’m just saying his physical attributes of height and weight over Canelo in my humble opinion are not a bridge too far. It’s not like he’s 6’2 or rehydrates to 200lbs in there. I’m Canadian so I’m a fan of course, but I still call it like I see it. Artur pushes forward all day, that’s his strength. He doesn’t do anything better than Canelo skill wise though. I just meant to say for all those that think that Artur is “So Big” compared to Canelo that he dominates on that factor alone I don’t see that size advantage. I should have been more clear. Eric Morales is my favourite fighter and he never looked like anything but he always fought his heart out.
Yea, I’m not sure how two people who agree, disagreed. Morales was one of my favs too.

Canelo does not have the cardio to out box Beterbiev for 12 rounds, he always fades. He will never fight him though. When was the last time he took a legit serious risky fight? GGG? He just goes after easy fights now where he is a clear favorite. Will never fight real threats like Beterbiev or Benavidez. I think he fights bivol though.
