Does GGG Have the Most Overrated Chin in Boxing History?

If he had so much power and granite chin, then how come every time he faced someone who could punch he fought behind a jab and was terrified to exchange? When you have power like GGG supposedly does you should be trading shots with fighters like Canelo and Jacobs, take 2 to give one.

I think it's good enough. Why take punishment when you don't have to?

Because he wasn't a good enough boxer to convincingly win any of those fights on the judges scorecards, why leave it in the judge's hands when you have the best power and chin in boxing supposably?

I don’t think so. Dude’s been in with some serious ****ers and he’s never even been wobbled. At least not that I’ve seen.

But notice how someone like Shawn Porter fights when he fights real ****ers, isn't afraid to take the fight to the other guy, knows he's going to get tagged in the process.

He has a properly rated chin. Lemieux, Stevens, Canelo, et al. can crack. We've never seen him down or even wobbled. Rewatch the Lemieux fight. GGG gets caught clean a few times and his only response is to unload on the guy. Referee Steve Willis was visibly reacting to the action.

Lmao well if he can box then why not box?
But yeah I would say he's somewhat overrated. The biggest punch he took was from carnelo who isn't exactly a huge puncher

I seem to recall Shawn Porter getting dropped twice and having his father throw in the towel due to punishment.

So your point is, if a fighter has a good chin than there's no reason to box.
You might as well dispense with your jab and forget about defense
Just take the other fighter's best shot and show the internet trolls you can take it.
Sound's like the recipe for a very short career.

Because that's not his style? He's always boxed behind his jab because he doesn't just swarm guys and smother his work (something Porter does in literally every fight), which would then make his power less effective.
