    Unfair Criticism of Charlo

Why do people hate on Charlo because of the Korobov fight? First I don't think it was controversial at all, Korobov did well but Charlo clearly won and had him almost out in round 12.

Here's another thing I'll bet a lot of the haters didn't know - did you know that Matt Korobov is the only person ever to knockout Oleksandr Usyk, THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD??? That's right, he stopped the great Usyk and also holds dominating wins over Danny Jacobs and beat Beterbiev.

Stop hating on Korobov and Charlo for this fight. It was a great performance by Mall against a very game fighter.

Nobody is hating on Korobov, infact I don't even hate on Charlo for that blatent robbery, it wasn't his call. But it was a robbery and Charlo went on a bit of a bum slaying mission after that close shave. PBC protection.

It's hard to take an OP as being unbiased when the name of the fighter is part of his member name.

Aside from that, I don't think he gets criticism for his performance against Korobov. Most know that Mattvey is a helluva skilled fighter. Korobov's problem is that his body breaks down in the ring. If he was more durable he'd have wins over Ellis and Eubank. If he had some semblance of promotional pull, he'd have wins over Charlo and Aleem.

Only guy to definitively beat him was Andy Lee. Korobov was dominating that fight but got complacent and Lee nearly cracked his skull in two with that shot.

As for Charlo, he has good wins over J-Rock and Derevyenchenko but he's beaten alot of no-hopers in between and recently struggled with a dude that Munguia blasted out in 2 rounds. I think he's a good fighter but he needs to prove that in the ring.

I don’t think he knocked him out, I think he dropped him and then the referee stopped it with Usyk on his feet. Amateur stoppages are very different to pro stoppages. Usyk was like 18-19 at the time as well I think whilst Korobov was already a seasoned amateur world champion. Korobov was a beast of an amateur but he should have turned over much earlier, he left his best days in the am’s.

Jermall is a good fighter but he needs to face better people, I’d like to see him face the GGG-Murata winner.

He turned over too late I thought, his body couldn’t take it after hundreds and hundreds of rounds in the amateurs.

Matvey is a top fighter who always trains hard and is always in shape, doesn't matter that he takes time off he's been asking for fights but keeps training hard, think GSP from MMA who didn't fight for 4 years but came back and won a world title.

And in the Lee fight yes he just got caught Mattvey was dominating the whole fight. It happens in boxing.

Lmao pbc straight up robbed that never was korobov. They did it with charlo and again with his next fight against a black fighter AFTER they announced him as the winner. Fvkcing ridiculous.
