DAZN is moving to a PPV model in 2022.

They were a great deal as a loss leader to get subs, but that's probably coming to an end.

Definitely envy all fights on at social hours but with DAZN I can the whole card without spoilers the following morning. Apps are so convenient.
I think the issue with the UK model is that there's a load of fans who would watch Matchroom on Sky because it was part of their Sky Subscription, but with Matchroom only putting on less than two shows a month on average in the UK asking that casual audience, who have no interest in the US show, to pay £8 on top of their Sky, Netflix, Disney, etc loses that casual audience they previously had. Although to hardcore boxing fans it provides value given the spoiler free access to US cards in the morning.

Like maybe giving Golden Boy Promotions a bigger budget and letting them be in charge of fight cards for the American market.

And you do know that DAZN is planning on doing their own PPVs now, right?
It's not quite hit the nail in terms of US content but I reckon at $99 a year it delivers value when you consider the cost to watch the big fights on other networks that end up PPV.
I know DAZN is looking at PPV but I can't envisage a scenario where Eddie Hearn looks at a fight like Thurman v Barrios and decides that's PPV, he's a pompous cúnt but he isn't insane.

DAZN is the future. Just imagine if it doesn't exist.

PBC has become a basket case for inactive fighters.

they would be more successful if they pronounced the brand as "dazzin". i was actually at a bar talking boxing with an irish transplant and he mentioned DAZN and some of the fights coming up, took me a few to realize he was talking about dazzin. he got a kick out of that

Buy some Devin Haney gear to help the US DAZN market since that’s their golden meal ticket and all swinging on his nuts like Tarzan

What?? 2 of the biggest/best fights in the past decade against Golovkin did nothing for you? Matchups like that are the reason 99% of us fans watch and love the damn sport....
