Yeah. I can see that. I started having a bad feeling with the buildup of the fight. Teofimo was getting much more press time; the ESPN crew seemed to be highly biased toward Lopez, and you could get a sense that something was in the air. I had a feeling that if it went to the cards, then Loma was going to get screwed. And he did get screwed because the judges' scorecards were so off you had to believe the fix was in. One judge gave Loma one round and another judge gave Loma two rounds. GTFOH! He was doomed to lose no matter what he did if he didn't stop Lopez.

I disagree, Davis should be ordered to fight Kambosos! If the want 1 champion, simply order Super vs. Regular! Rolly had his shot, and he blew it! Make Rolly fight Michel Rivera!
No he definitely won't go. If it's ordered by the WBA it gets interesting. Personally I don't think they will though as technically Davis should be ordered to fight Romero first if they are to stay consistent. But when do they ever lol. But if Davis, Kambosos is ordered and Kambosos stands his ground on Australia, then it's going to purse bid. And you can bet your last coin on Matchroom trying to nick it away from Mayweather. If Hearn wins, Davis will be pulled out. There's a snowball's chance in hell of them letting him fight on one of Eddie's shows lol.

After Tank's performance against Cruz, the guy is going to be matched soft for the rest of his career. Mayweather will be bringing out the smoke and mirrors for the next decade.Comment

I agree. But the way they've been doing it would see Rolly vs Davis with the winner facing Kambosos. Technically Rolly hasn't blew it yet. His almost fight with Davis was voluntary, it wasn't ordered. So that means he's still officially mandatory to Davis. Rollys a nuisance and I hope he gets knocked out next by whoever lol.Comment

Well I don't agree at all with the notion here because all these wins against respectable opponents will add a lot to Loma's resume and legacy. It's not a bad thing at all if he keeps winning and eventually gets a haney or Shakur he will go down as the standout of his era and Lopez fight will be his only proper loss (the Salido one was BS; he won and Salido should have been DQ'd).Comment

I agree with everything said above. A win wouldn't have changed Loma's opponent options, and every fight doesn't need a rematch. I don't want to see most fights twice; settle it the first time. Rematch if it was close.I have to disagree here. Sometimes rematch clauses will allow other bouts to take place, such as an interim title fight, before the rematch is executed. This third party challenger would then have to be bound to fight the original boxer entitled to the rematch should the challenger win. This would be a very similar situation where Kambosos would be the challenger, someone fighting the winner before the rematch could take place. And in this instance, should Kambosos actually choose to fight Lomachenko, then it really is a case of there being two ways up a mountain.
I think things could be far worse, considering. Things look very good for Loma now that Lopez lost. I don't see this as something to view negatively. Had he had the belts, who would he have fought anyway? He would have fought Kambosos.
Lets face it: Loma is never going to fight Davis. And he beat Lopez the first time, he would have never been able to secure a fight with Davis. Garcia would still have had his mental breakdown. Haney would still be saying one thing and then doing another, such as pricing himself out.
I don't see there being too much difference in the outcome of things, rematch clause or not.Comment

In my opinion, after watching the fight carefully more than once. Lomachenko deserved a draw. Yes, Lopez threw a lot of leather in rd 12, but landed very little which counted, mostly near misses and on gloves, Lomachenko, on the contrary, certainly did , despite the one punch which seemed to take effect on him.Comment

Your characterization of this as “ taking the tougher fight” is dishonest and disingenuous. When u have the resume Loma has - giving GRJ, Walters, and Rigo their 1st loss, and fighting top level competition throughout his career, how do u criticize him for taking the tougher fight against Lopez? No boxing writers, commentators, insiders, former fighters criticize him for that or anything else. Loma obviously is pursuing greatness - not looking to hold a belt and defend it.
He dropped the belt to avoid a guy who might have defeated him and cost him the biggest payday of his career.

Tank always takes shots! He's not a defensive wizard like Floyd, or Sweet Pea! However, he has power that they did not have!
