So we are supposed to feel bad for this dude for hurting himself because he was throwing up to make weight? fk that... move up in weight if it's that bad and stop putting your health at riskComment

Where's the source for this information? Regardless, that would make a ton of sense for why he ruptured his esophagus. Having Thor punch him in the stomach made zero sense to me. It made it sound as if it were a bogus excuse. But what you are talking about is called Mallory-Weiss syndrome (MWS), which is a condition marked by a tear in the mucous membrane, or inner lining, where the esophagus meets the stomach. It's very common for that condition to result in pneumomediastinum.
So Lopez basically did it to himself by trying to take shortcuts in making weight. Does that change anyone's opinion?Comment

Had nothing to do with the weight cut.... besides the kid wasn't weight drained at all.
He had ****in' asthma and decided to roll the dice on not getting vaccinated. Doesn't look like it worked out for him.
bro wtf is that? You know not everyone gets the same symptons right? This is on par with the idiots posting some YouTube doctor to justify Spencers super serious career ending injury.
As for the bold Lopez and his pops been talking about moving up since the Loma win. So he clearly was drained to some extent if not more.Comment

If this is true then it was all on Lopez' team.
I dont feel bad for them. They chose a division that is small for their fighter.Comment

Man that is F^cking terrible
Fighters need to be careful with cutting weight, that is NOT the way to go about cutting weight that is for sure, so if he had a tear he likely was vomiting Blood and he either kept it to himself or the idiots on his team wanted to get some money so they made sure he went through with the Fight but he did say he was down to 20K and needed the payday so it was likely 100% his choice. Should've just dropped all those Belts, moved up to 140 and went straight for TaylorLast edited by sicko; 12-09-2021, 09:03 PM.Comment

Nope you shouldn’t.
But if his name was Lomachenko or Gervontee ya would be using the excuse like crazy.Comment

I don't think this is true at all, people gave Loma a ton of **** even though his injures were real, either way I do not wish this on anyone and hope he recovers.Comment
