Facts are facts period, Canelo only took the Lara fight because he crashed his press conference and was known for falling miserably in the biggest fight of his career and had to take it to stay relevant, and GGG ducked Lara. These are both facts you can't dance around it.Comment

Oh woulda coulda bull****. What never happened was Lara going to 160 and forcing Golovkin's hand. He's the one calling out Golovkin, so he's the one that should be making the moves to get that fight. DeCubas even said they never even formally reached out to team GGG. Lara supposedly wants that fight so bad, yet there's not even any start on actual negotiations? And once again, team GGG did reach out, and Luis started putting up roadblocks, so take that as you will.
Strange way to act for a guy that was supposedly avoided. Once you pull back the curtain and really look closely at the history it becomes obvious that this was a bit of a false narrative.Comment

Abel Sanchez is on record saying that Lara hadn't done anything to deserve the shot at Golovkin.

Denying facts once again, Canelo was shamed into taking the fight, he would have looked like the biggest coward in boxing history for ducking that fight after Lara did what he did and especially if Canelo didn't want to be a complete joke at 154 since he clearly wouldn't fight Andrade or the Charlos. But GGG ducked Lara, not nearly as shameful, but still a duck.Comment

Golovkin would have had a size advantage against the naturally smaller 154 lber Lara. And even still Golovkin wouldn't take the risk.Last edited by ShoulderRoll; 12-10-2021, 12:15 AM.Comment

Yet a higher reward, as we've discussed several times. All of this is just showing Lara was full of **** about moving up to 160 and facing Golovkin, evidenced by him never actually going to the division, up until 7 months ago. What stopped Lara from crashing things with GGG, the way he did Canelo? Like I mentioned before, he could have gotten the WBO at 154 and forced a mandatory at 160, much like what people are saying Andrade should do right now for Canelo. Why didn't Lara do that?Last edited by AKAcronym; 12-10-2021, 12:24 AM.Comment

this is a arrow to the heart of the silly cvnts who are ****** enough to suggest that Canelo is ducking a guy that has almost no chance of beating him
according to WBO rules, a champion can force a mandatory if he moves up
Canelo is right there for the taking Andrade-tards... where your boy at ???

But he swerved Lara's callouts.
So...credit to Canelo for taking the risk when he didn't have to.
