"THEY DONT SELL TICKETZ AND THEY ARE BORING FIGHTERS.."Translation? A solid black American boxer always beats a great Mexican..imagine what a great Black boxer would do to the propaganda champ?

You know that Latin fighters would support their own even if they boxed Jesus...His success is not due to risk,it's due to the fact that he is a great boxer demolishing scrubs...and the part-timers gobble it up.

I think you could find holes with GGG's resume overall - he doesn't have great performances relatively speaking in his biggest fights.

But cherrypicking wouldn't be the word for his career lol. He hasn't had the luxury to cherrypick.

Rolls was a tune up after a hard fight. No one sold that fight as a tough matchup.

It is important to mention the 200/190 pound issue with this fight and Canelo because it is extremely relevant if the fight is at 190.

Draining a guy 10 pounds and acting like it is a fair fight is not something that impresses me. It shouldn't impress you much either.

Not a terrible fight but again it's hard to judge it. It's definitely a cherrypick.

Canelo just fought 4 times in 12 months and unified all the belts at 168 lbs.

Surely he's entitled to mix in an easier fight...keeping in mind that "easy" for him is going after a belt at cruiserweight. Not fighting someone like Kamil Szeremeta.
Fighting Makubu, at 190 instead of 200, is the definition of a cherrypick man. Not sure how else to say it. Not sure why you guys act like it isn't.

He is a guy with a belt, who reportedly isn't that good, and would now have to fight 10 pounds below the 200 limit he is used to.

You really don't see that being a cherrypick? Come on man

No active fighter has a better resume than Canelo. Him taking high risk, low reward fights (like Trout and Lara) is a part of why he is where he is today.

I don't know why black people don't support their own more with Jermall Charlo and Demetrius Andrade. But that is not Canelo's fault nor is it his responsibility to throw them some scraps.

So after a banner year Canelo decides to fight a cruiserweight champion and it's a cherrypick?

                    I can live with that.

Just make sure to apply those strict standards to other fighters.

We should give Canelo a break, and only get on his case if he doesn't fight Benavidez by the year 2023. I see Eddie Hearn said 'what does Benavidez bring, he has no title?'.

Well Eddie, Benavidez brings a very substantial threat, a difficult challenge, that's what he brings, an addition to one's legacy if Canelo beats him.
How does Benavidez add legacy but not Makabu, even though Makabu would be a good win for any other cruiserweight? You act like Makabu is a journeyman when he is actually rated #2 or #3 by boxing publications
