Take the mandatory fight and go on to Crawford....Crawford just fought late November so him waiting until June or July won't be a problem for him.
Has the IBF called in the mandatory yet? Abdukakhorov is currently #1, and he's fighting this weekend. IDK if Abdu will want such a quick turnaround for his biggest fight ever.

As for Ugas/Stanionis, I think Ugas has a real chance at catching an L here.

i didnt say anything about step aside money, maybe they promise him some big fight in the future or a better contract, or maybe better exposure on some big PPV card being co-main to Spence for example; if Ugas-Stanionis isnt happening next then his promoters, managers, his team could not refuse an offer and agreed to smth

Schafer trying to swoop the wba title off of PBC lol. Ugas is better than stannionis and it’s a pbc promotion so even if it’s close I expect ugas to get a favourable look.

Decent fight, I wouldn't rule out the upset on this one

Considering what has happened in other divisions, I think wba being very unfair in not allowing him to move forward with a unification against Spence. They could have even ordered winner to defend against James as a condition. Just more BS.

Yeah I’d be cool with that.

Oh so you just made it up. You really don't have any basis to ask what they offered him.

Sucks that Ugas has to do this fight instead of carrying his momentum into a more named opponent and the recognition that he seeks.
