Schafer trying to swoop the wba title off of PBC lol. Ugas is better than stannionis and it’s a pbc promotion so even if it’s close I expect ugas to get a favourable look.

If Ugas/Stanionis does happen and Ugas loses, I could see Probellum trying to sign Crawford to face Stanionis.

Tbh at the end of the day money talks. If pbc would have put up enough money for Spence ugas it’d probably be happening, I’ve seen it too many times in boxing. Seeing this low purse bid open leads me to believe the money wasn’t there for a big fight with Spence just yet.

Has the IBF called in the mandatory yet? Abdukakhorov is currently #1, and he's fighting this weekend. IDK if Abdu will want such a quick turnaround for his biggest fight ever.

As for Ugas/Stanionis, I think Ugas has a real chance at catching an L here.

The mandatory is long due. There were some visa issues with Abdukakhorov's at one point I believe but yeah he's been the mandatory for over two years now. If he gets past this fight on Saturday, he should be able to fight in March or end of February.

Yes, he's been the mandatory for two years now. Fighting on Saturday on SHO so he should be getting his shot soon now that the Ugas fight is not going to happen.

I just want Spence to get some rounds before the Crawford showdown...Actually I'd prefer him to go straight to the Crawford fight but he hasn't fought in a year and it would be good to test out his chin one more time as well as his eye. Ugas fight would have REALLY tested him but I'll take this fight. In about seven or so months, we will be getting the Spence/Crawford fight and then WW division can finally start moving and the youngsters will get their shot at the vacant belts.

If Spence/Crawford is a great fight, they can rematch at 154 when those titles are vacant after Mell/Castano fight in February lol.
