Would like to see him fight again but if not, it makes sense. He's already earned enough to support his daughter, been a world champ and achieved far more than expected.

Some great fights to look forward to in the Big Dawg Division, but they'll lose a lot of sparkle if Deontay Wilder ain't in amongst it. Anthony Joshua ain't wanted nothing to do with a Wilder fight all along and I still don't think he wants to go there.

You know what, that's probably best for him (AJ). He don't have the same desire to keep fighting as Fury does after getting dropped.

I doubt he will get his belts back from Usyk. Hope he does, because I'd love to see a Battle of Britain showdown between him & Tyson, but failing that, if Deontay can overcome Andy Ruiz Jr (and that's not a cert) then next to Tyson vs Usyk, a Wilder vs Joshua showdown would be a cool fight.

That’s haymon, I think he’s trying to do the same with Leo. These two were his first money fighters after Floyd. Leo named his kid after him and wilder has credited haymon with “saving him” so since we ain’t heard from Leo and now this me thinks haymon didn’t like how their last fights ended and is maybe advising retirement.

Both got cashed out and served thier purpose so to speak. Considering how limited Wilder was/is they've actually did a remarkable job building him up.Can't blame Wilder if he feels he's no longer able to continue after those 2 ass whoopings as his stamina and chin looks to have gone to ****. Not a good look if he were to come back and get ktfo by journey level fighters as that shatters the notion "only the p4p king Fury can do that!!" that his fans are already parroting.

Unfortunately, the best among the weight classes, fighting the other best among the weight class you are in, and losing, is looked down upon by fans. Media and fans write boxers off as a fraud for losing to the best.

Wilder can continue fighting at beat Usyk, Joshua, Whyte, Parker, and Ruiz and he will always be the fraud who lost to Tyson Fury, to his critics.

So, if he made millions and will use it right, just retire. No need to bust your ass in the gym to keep fighting the best and never get recognition because you lost to 1 fighter. He can keep fighting and ignore critics and just do it for his supporters. But if his heart is mixed about it, just retire. That is how you get KO’ed. Continuing to fight when your heart and head is no longer in it. If you lose that hunger, it’s time to call it quits. Unfortunately you can’t just do this job until 65 years old. The time to retire in boxing comes at different ages depending on several factors. But generally speaking, 36 years old is usually when fighters primes are in the past and even their peak had gone at 36. If he fights again, he has to be hungry and inspired.

Plenty of boxers for Windmill to fight... Ruiz, AJ, Joyce, White, Chisora, Usyk... I mean it is not like he fought all the competition...

I agree with what you are saying but if he's not having fun anymore then he shouldn't take those fights because on a competition level; Those fights bore him. They are all a step down from Tyson Fury and he would have trouble getting excited for them.

That Fury trilogy was a lot of fun for Deontay Wilder because he was able to make boxing fans happy by giving them the type of fights that they wanted to see. Right now that thrill is gone .He was burned out by that trilogy. It left him both emotionally drained and fatigued..

If he prolongs his career then many would perceive it as a mercenary fighter just taking fights for the money. He doesn't want to be remembered like that. He wants to be remembered as a warrior and a soldier who gave it his all in the ring and went out on his shield.

Taking those kind of beatings really changes you as a man. He was champion, he made some good money. Time to ride off into the sunset and live a good life.

I Hope he doesn't come back with a foot half out the door attitude that's a recipe for disaster given how his last two fights have gone.

I don't really like his fan base but the man himself is a warrior and he's done everything he could to provide a better life for his children, I don't want to see the man injured in anyway and hopefully when he chooses to retire he'll still able to enjoy his family for the rest of his life...
