Or they should just strip him of it, it’s a paper title. The idea the the real belt holder should have to fight the paper champ to dissolve a made up title is ridiculous

LOL. He might need to beat Kambosos Jr to claim that honour. He hasn't come close to championship level at 135, or 140 for that matter.

That’s good, he’s more competitive at 135 and there’s more interesting fifty-fifty fights to be made at that weight.

I thought the WBA got rid of those? Why are they still around to even be “relinquished”? Or did Tank have a chance to fight Taylor for the real title and he is instead relinquished the “regular” belt? If so, that would funny. I mean Tank will probably miss weight in his next 135lb fight.

With that said, the better names are at 135. But idk how you can avoid the chance to fight Josh Taylor for all the belts. I guess he doesn’t think he can win? Or he just can’t fight him soon enough because of Taylor vs Catterall?

How long before the WBA announce Puello Vs Barroso for the vacant belt?! ;-(

So presumably wba will now make Davis mandatory for Kambosos?

I forget, did WBA commit to getting rid of all secondary titles? Or will it still be a super champ and a regular champ in every division?

Also, the article mentions the mandatory situation at 140. Where does Matias stand? He had some good wins before his loss and good wins since, looks like the most dangerous contender at the weight.

Relinquishing the secondary title at 140 to focus on defending his secondary title at 135
