    Algieri vs Benn

I can see an upset here. If Chris can survive the first few rounds I can see him outboxing Benn to a decision or even late stoppage.

We know Benn has had stamina and chin problems.

Algieri might be getting on in years but he’s a health and fitness fanatic. He’s in great shape.

Is Conor Benn going to fight someone in the Top 10 any time soon?

He's talking about Shawn Porter and the likes and is yet to fight anyone in the Top 10.

I totally agree, if Algieri isn't completely shot and can ride out the predictable storm of the 1st 4 or 5 rounds he is going to take over, technical ability and fundimentals are very much in the Americans favour and through his career he has had a good engine.

just a NAME for Benn to add to his Resume

Respect to Algieri seems like a great guy and he is a good analyst but as far as boxing the man is 37 now but also too always thought Chris was better at 140 during his career

Benn will win and him and Eddie will act like he just Defeated one of the best Fighters P4P currently or something

I am not sure whether Conor Benn has stamina issues, but? His stamina has not been tested over a entire fight. I don't think Algieri at any point in his career, has been the type of fighter who fights with a style in which will really test a opponents stamina.

I can envision a few scenario's in this fight happening.

Ether Algieri will survive the opening blitz, then start to slowly out box Benn in the second half of the fight.

Or Conor Benn will blast Algieri out within the opening rounds.

Note: I think Conor Benn is Eddie Hearn's second favorite fighter, behind Anthony Joshua. Hearn would of thought long and hard, about making this fight 'He wants to keep Benn winning'. I will predict that Benn will win via stoppage inside 8 rounds.

            This…

Benn’s entire career is the boxing equivalent of a Ponzi scheme.

He definitely beats Algieri. Come tf on. I like Chris, he's a great guy but he's not durable whatsoever. If you have power you can stop him and give him fits.

He is doing what a rising contender should do, fighting old ex contenders and gatekeepers.

Ortiz jr. is doing the same. Boots is doing the same.

                  doubt it,

Eddie Hearn said his next fight was going to be a top 15 opponent and it turned out to be Chris Algieri, I guess he forgot to mention that he meant top 10 in 2014

i’d imagine the “top 10” opponent for his next step up will be Robert Guerrero

The problem is Eddie gets away with saying these things because Benn attracts casual fans because of his dads name.

He’s still young(ish) and has had limited amateur experience. His last 3 appointments (Vargas, Granados and Formella) are exactly the kind of fighters he should be fighting at this stage imo.

I imagine if he beats Algieri we’ll see him in with a top 10 opponent in 2022.
