I'm a huge fan of Fury...

Barnet.
****'s forreal in Barnet.
Plus not losing to those whom an old Williams just beat twice, and hitting himself in the face.
I think he might turn out ok but people get too hung up on size. He shows little sign of developing his defence, boxing ability and thinking inside the ring to really suggest he's one to seriously look out for. He's entertaining though I'll give him that.Comment

Agree, he fought way too aggressively from the start when he should of been looking to establish a rhythm and when he did look to start Boxing McDermott was breaking up his rhythm by holding etc.Fury would of looked a lot better if he could of controlled the range with his jab, then unloaded a swift combination on McDermott's body. But every time he went to see up the combo with a body hook, McDermott was already in his face.
He just seemed like he wanted to slug against McD.
Fury's fight in the centre of the ring or on the front foot backing the other guy up. Manny Steward might be a good idea imo.Comment

Which all stems down to his training in my opinion.
I think his current trainer is a bit too ' soft '. He needs someone who says ' Get in shape you fat **** '. Teaches him how to box properly, share their knowledge of the ring with Fury so his boxing IQ shoots up.
Lets face it.
Tyson is a big personality and I bet his rules over his trainers and the rest of his camp. He needs someone, an old and experienced trainer to slap the kid around the face and say ' listen to me '.Comment

I've been saying since his first professional bout that he needs a trainer like Steward. I'll keep saying it too when people question him.
Like I said in my previous post, he lacks a good, strong and experienced trainer who will show him who's boss.

Barnet's alright of a place IMO, but to be fair to Fury this was the first time he fought a 10 rounder. He went from fighting plumbers in 4 rounders to fighting a experienced head who who took Williams to 12 rounds twice and won the first fight IMO.Barnet.

Not all stems down to, some. A lot stems down to the fact deep talent doesn't lie within.Which all stems down to his training in my opinion.

Ok he'll get better with the things you say but those things go for a lot of folk. Besides thats the lightest he's ever fought at as a pro, right?
So he's hardly a fat c**t, he'd only wanna lose another 10 lbs max really to be healthy with that frame. So that excuse doesn't cut it, nor does being a personality when it comes to boxing ability.
He himself called McDermott a bit chubby, well a chubby fella, much shorter with 7" less reach just beat you Mr Fury, what does that say about you!?!Comment

And Steward will help him do what you said " develop his Boxing IQ"
The problem might be can he afford Steward and will ever take the route or tough it out with his uncle.Comment

He's a little naive and seems to believe in what his family think of him. I guess that's a good thing when they're supporting you, but not training you.Not all stems down to, some. A lot stems down to the fact deep talent doesn't lie within.

Yeah, hardly a fat ****. But he still needs that sort of wake up call and discipline in his camp, otherwise he'll think he can joke his way to a belt. Boxing ability isn't really showing with Tyson. But boxing can be taught, a good chin, height and speed cannot.
Which is why I still have some faith in him turning around and making it to world level.Comment
