I thought Fury would handle McDermot relatively easy because McDermot has slow feet and he usually shows a lack of confidence going into a fight but not this time, Fury was the architect of his own down fall in this fight because not only was he over confident he also added fuel to the fire by ripping McDermot and it sort of woke McDermot up, he came to ring like a tiger because he was hurt by the bad mouthing and he channeled that fear into beating Fury's ass.

Think about how many times Fury landed flush on McDermot, now think about how many chopping right hands and left hooks McDermot landed and you know who scored the more effective blows, if Fury did not have a chin he would of been on his back.

And another thing people haven't mentioned is that McDermott kept turning his back on Fury, for which he should have had points deducted.

        O'Connor's a mug.

McDermott won tonight, he was robbed. I kinda feel sorry for the guy because he said after the fight how he worked hard to win and his corner reassured him that the fight was in his hands in the 10th round however the ref suggested otherwise. Fury took some big shots and was overwhelmed by the more experience boxer in there. Fury has a good win but he didn't look that good atall tonight.

Exactly. I don't think this win will stand to him in the long run.

Definetly. I counted him doing it atleast three times. O'C is just a subpar ref, no ifs or buts.

I'd also say that Fury's positioning after the breaks was really, really bad. He almost looked like he was going to turn his back on McD half the time. And he kept rubbling the sweat off his face! I think that messed up his timing and I certainly felt that McD quickly learned to time himself off it.

There were little things like that which were really amateur...

It got a point where McDermott knew he could get away with it and i think it was the 8th round? and he literally turned his back on Fury and went for a walk LOL

People have been low key mocking him. Nobody would talk about him if not for the epic self punch.

I think Fury was exposed in this fight, and I didn't realize that the referees were able to render decisions in the Commonwealth title fights. That ref should be suspended.
