In other words, youre not going to put Tank in there against a threat. News flash May/Ellerbe, this supposed mind boggling "gameplan" is blatantly obvious to everyone you dumbasses.

Floyd could lowball guys and keep the majority because a fight with him raised their profile.
Ortiz, Guerrero, Maidana all took low flat fee’s with no PPV upside.
Tank doesn’t have that kind of clout and isn’t really a PPV fighter other than PBC trying to force him into one.
He’s like Bud with Top Rank as he doesn’t bring in enough money to make it worth it for anything other than in house showcase fights.

His team do seem pretty transparent and open about him not facing any threats any time soon.

That zero in the loss column is a tool they are going to hang onto and use to keep attracting a growing casual fanbase.

The best part of this argument is that the money will never be right to fight the top guys. He can claim that he would love to fight the top guys, "but the money isn't right." His fans eat it up. Until he beats the top guys, he is Butterbean.

Davis is under a lot of pressure to perform. Not just because of who he is facing, but because the media and some fans believe he is being coddled by PBC and Floyd. Not just that, but Floyd's rant where he kept both praising Davis and fighting for him to be on the PFP.

Davis now has to walk in the ring knowing if he fails, then it would give all of his naysayers fodder to use against him for the rest of his days. People, except casuals, will probably remember Gamboa who was once praised as a Mayweather protégé. That might be what they will call Davis if he loses.

At the moment Tank is the most protected fighter in boxing . The fights could me made if Tank really wanted them. Is he afraid? No I doubt that. Is Floyd/Ellerbie afraid about Tabk loosing that “0” ? Definitely

Davis just sits back and is content ko-ing b-level cans at age in his prime at age 27. Wont risk that 0 and dare to be great. So what you are saying is the fighter who brings in all the $ and attracts all the fans is NOT IN CHARGE? All he has to is demand a fight and call one of the big names out in public. If he is not in charge as the fighter who risks his life in the ring, then he is a clueless cowardly puppy who Floyd leads around on a leash.
