Something people seem to forget is not only is Pacquiao fast, but he's also so damn accurate. The fact that he never tires and just keeps coming with fast accurate punches makes him more terrifying to his opponents. If Cotto gets tired and he hasn't hurt Pac by then, he's done for.

Pac is similar to RJJ in that he relies on his athletism. But Pac is probably above average defensive skill wise as well. DLH couldnt hit him too much.
But he is accurate as well. When you fight Pac you worry more about trying to avoid his punches.

Pac is forgetting that Cotto is one of the best offensive fighters in the world. His specialty is hitting people and he will no doubt hit Pac. If Pac thinks he's going to dance circles around Miguel and not get hit, he's going to be in for a rude awakening. Miguel is more than able to handle Pac's speed, Pac won't be able to handle Cotto's power.
