ggg is a Joke and a Hype Job

Move up or stop talking about a 3rd Canelo fight please!
GGG just doesn't believe in himself enough to move up in weight for an actual challenge. I mean, you already fought the guy twice....why not move up and ride his wave since you couldn't keep your own career going?
I'm sorry but I don't feel bad for ANY of these guys...especially Golovkin. This man was quick to call out Chavez Jr. to fight at 168 years ago but he was quiet as a mouse when Ward called his bluff at 168.
What's so special about GGG again? An old plodder that's afraid to leave the MW division. Hell, he barely wants to fight MWs worth sharing the ring with. This guy is useless in regards to his name and popularity...HBO would ALWAYS have to hype him up.
Why not face Charlo and/or Andrade, old man? They're protecting him and he's holding out like Khan did....because he know he's "food" at this point so the payday is being carefully pieced together.
Golovkin might have gotten a little more respect if he'd just retired after the second canelo fight?
Thanks.Comment

I seriously want to see him face Charlo whom is the WBC champion or Andrade whom is the WBO champion....why doesn't he want to unify when we're knee-deep in Unification Season? Mofos are out going for Undisputed and Golovkin chooses to hold up the division by having the IBF belt and not fighting anybody. It's just ridiculous at this point.
It's sad when champions don't even wanna fight each other...that's sending the wrong message here. Not fighting each other (for a while) isn't always a bad thing but they're fighting cab drivers and talking like they're the cash cow in the division. You hate to see it but this is where we are.
We have champs who are afraid to face each other because they feel they'll ruin their chances at a guy (Canelo) who isn't even in the division anymore. This is where the Middleweight division is right now. Golovkin's not at HBO anymore....nobody's gonna come to him for a fight- he's no longer in the driver's seat.Last edited by MeanestNiceGuy; 12-02-2021, 10:59 AM.Comment

Thanks....though it came from a place of frustration at how lacksy daisy his handlers were with his career after losing to Canelo. Even they thought it was the end for him. I enjoyed the Derevyanchenko fight though Golovkin looked to have missed a step. He became champion again and....just like that...nothing.

and the REAL fighters walk... like Garcia, like Ward, like Mayweather... and like MANY other examples
lets not make excuses for grown men who are 100% responsible/accountable for their resume/career
it is far more accurate to say that MOST stay... because, they are comfortable

Categorically false.I am critical of canelos opponents but his resume is light years better than Golovkins. It’s not even close. GGG literally got whooped his last fight and was gifted a decision and deryvchenko. GGG has literally 0 great wins on his resume. ZERO. He has held out his whole career trying to fight mayweather and canelo. First he said he’d fight anyone 154 to 168 then refused to fight ward or anyone at 168. Refused to fight deryvchenko and would only would fight mayweather at 154. This holding pattern held for years until mayweather retired. Then he would only fight canelo refused to fight anyone else with a pulse. This holding pattern has been held for years also. Meanwhile canelo has moved up in numerous divisions won titles and unified. Now going up to to cruiser. Lara mayweather cotto Mosley kovalev even plant and callum smith would probably be the best names on GGG record. He doesn’t even have one. Not even one. ZERO great wins in his whole sorry ass career.Comment

But as I’ve said before, a lot of boxers are, to put it kindly, not the smartest guys going, especially after a few hundred digs to the head. I reckon it would be quite easy for them to get twisted inside and out by some fast-talking, Eddie Hearn-esque serpent and persuaded for and against a variety of different clashes for some convoluted marketing reasons.
I agree, it would be better if a lot went free agent. Better for us anyway! I know it’s not always as simple as Canelo and Money Mayweather, et al. made it lookLast edited by P to the J; 12-02-2021, 06:43 PM.Comment
