He could knock out Beterbiev in the meantime which will be pretty much the same weight as he'll be vs Makabu. I think Canelo matches well against Beterbiev.

Makabu has a belt. Benavidez has none.

If it's a circus fight, then why are you so worried about it? It's a "circus" fight that's not even near the 168 division. Why will Benavidez continue to fight bums in that division instead of getting those belts that Canelo will leave behind? Is Canelo the only challenge out there? He's already made up his mind that in May of 2022, he will be fighting for the WBC Cruiserweight title. That leave approx. 7 months for Benavidez, Charlo, Andrade, Beterbiev and Bivol to do something, anything, before Canelo decides what to do next say about the end of July '22 for his fall fight plans. Is anyone going to do anything in those 7 months, will they fight each other or are they and everyone else continue to sit on their asses and cry about Canelo not giving them a payday?

The WBC will always support Canelo, he is our Franchise Champion, which allows him to seek any type of challenge and not hindering him is a virtue with that designation

hes had 2 frickin years to fight beterbiev since he beat kovalev, stop with this made up 7 month BS. its been excuse after excuse about how hes not a 175 pounder as he fought hopeless bums like callum smith coming off a loss, saunders who beat a bum for a gifted belt and yildram when the wbc just said hes our franchise champ and can fight beterbiev at any time! exposed! and beterbiev already beat the best at 175 and it wasnt good enough. those other guys canleo fought never did that.

I remember when Makabu and Mchunu fought the first time and there was no footage for a while and all the super die hards on here we’re considering it some kind of lost gold. Two top level fighters who were highly respected.

Beterbiev and Bivol have had 3-4 years to fight each other. Had more time to fight Andre Ward before he retired. What happened there? They're out there fighting bum after bum and not even mentioning each others names. Stop with this nonsense that it's all up to Canelo to make these big fights happen.
