Why do Canelo fans get so combative when someone says GGG won both fights

There has been a lot of revisionist history when it comes to the 2nd GGG v Canelo fight. Most had Golovkin winning with the 2nd majority having it a draw. Very few people actually thought Canelo won after the fight.

You really didn't start to see people claim Canelo won (outside of his fanbase and the Mayweather fanbase) until after the 3rd fight with Golovkin was dead. Many journalists like to pretend 2018 didn't happen to crown Canelo the P4P king even if the claim is built on a shaky foundation.

The better question is why cant ggg fans accept that he lost the 2nd fight?

That's what you said homie. Yes the favorable Canelo card vs Floyd proves my point - that official scorecards are often times meaningless in big fights. They are agenda driven, not results driven.

He outlanded the guy by like 40 punches, and in most of the rounds. I can't think of too many fights where that guy doesn't win the fight. I certainly can't think of any where that guy wouldn't have a claim to winning the fight.

Different opinions are fine. If someone says Canelo clearly won fight 2, I'd say oh that's crazy, and move on.

Most Canelo fans act like you insulted their mom if you said GGG won both clearly. Which he did. So it shouldn't really bother anyone that it gets said.

Floyd won on the official scorecards regardless. The right guy got the victory.

What you want is to completely throw out the official results for Golovkin vs Canelo and have everyone accept your alternative view. Which is something else entirely.

115-113 canelo. Controlled the center of the ring, dictated the pace most of the fight and was the ring general 80% of the time if not more. He was winning a majority of the exchanges. That wins fight. GGG beat him at the jab but jabs don’t out score right hands and left hooks.

Respect to @canelo I scored it 115-113 in his favour, he put on a great show and pushed @gggboxing back out of his comfort zone, but I don’t think Canelo will ever win the love of the fans back now though after failing that drug test #caneloggg2 pic.twitter.com/mDjmM0E7fC

Listen. If GGG has won I’d still say it was a close fight. A close fight can go either way.
I scored it ONE round to Canelo. With one round even. If that goes GGG it’s a draw.
If ONE of the close rounds I go GGG instead i then have GGG the winner.

“It’s two great fighters. For me to say that Golovkin wasn’t at his best would take away from Canelo. We’ve gotta give Canelo the credit, too, that he was able to do the things that he needed to do tonight".

"We as coaches can only coach them and do the best we can in the gym and have a game plan. When we get in there, they see things that maybe are better for them. We can’t force them to do something they don’t want to do".

"Gennady didn’t fight the way I wanted him to fight this time. But when they get in there, they’re gonna do what they think is best. They’re the ones getting hit.”

“I wanted Golovkin to fight Canelo. If Canelo was gonna stand in the middle of the ring, I wanted him to fight Canelo. He decided it was better to do the things that he did".

"I said to Golovkin in the corner that I thought we were behind in about the 8th or 9th, and I told him I needed the rounds at the end".

" I felt Golovkin took the 12th round off, and two judges gave Canelo that final round".

"We had good judges who saw it from different angles. I can’t complain about the decision, but it’s close enough to warrant a third fight.”

Yawn when your own TRAINER feels you lost you LOST!

Nope honestly I don't care about the official results. But as 'hardcore' fans we should acknowledge when robberies happen. And among us we shouldn't act like something was a win when it wasn't.

To be fair, I've seen worse robberies, so I don't really care about any of the official stuff at all. Canelo was the King and to beat the King officially sometimes you need a KO. Just how it is. If they gave Canelo 2 losses in those fights, think of how much money boxing loses going forward etc.

So I watched the fight and I had it 115-117 in favor of canelo , what a great fight boxing fans have to be happy with that , also I can see by the commentary why people might be swayed to think GGG won , #CaneloGGG2

Great fight and I think the right man won but very close.
And @Canelo boxing skills are just next level

                    Also had Canelo winning:
                    Mikey Garcia
                    Robert Garcia
                    Mayweather Sr
                    Miguel Cotto
                    Errol Spence
                    David Lemieux
                    Andy Lee
                    George Foreman
                    Roy Jones Jr.
                    Charlo Bros.
Abel Sanchez - GGG OWN TRAINER!!!

                    And many more
I've never heard of half of those guys.

And half of the ones who did comment, I mean they have a clear bias against GGG. It's evident. Of the other half, half of those could have a bias against him too (lost to him). WMJr said Canelo won both for God's sake lol. How can I take anyone like that seriously. Plant has always hated on GGG, as has Ward. And Mora. Their cards or 'scores' are meaningless.

Let someone show a round by round score and let's see where those 7 or 8!!!! rounds come from.

Before I get mugged or assaulted, I'm in the minority here that I think Canelo won the first fight. That was my perception while I watched it. Have not re watched it. In the second fight, GGG changed his destiny, he picked it up big time breathing like an asthmatic uping the ante
