Is this fight being made to determine who has the weakest punch resistance in the UK? In all seriousness is this fight actually a big deal in the UK if not does anyone really care? I also actually thought that Khan had retired years ago.

Two guys with some terrible career decisions in the past.

Brook fought GGG when he should have fought Khan. Years later he also decided to drain to 147 and fight Crawford when he should have fought somebody at 154.

Khan decided to get smashed by Canelo for a big money instead of fighting Brook for example.

Now, when nobody cares, these two washed up ex contenders fight for their last payday.

I just saw this was official. I did not believe it, thinking it was a sport headline from the Onion or something. This is an interesting fight in the same way watching a playground fight between a couple of 4th graders is. It will amount to zero in the grand scheme of their lives, no one will remember it in a few weeks, neither one is really able to hurt the other, but at least they can get it out of their systems and move on.

Kell would have won in their primes, but now Amir wins by UD in a fight nearly nothing of actual value happens.

I can see the winner getting at least one more pay day against some rising contender or rising prospect.

I mean both of them are shot now, both of them can be easily beaten by any top 20 welterweight. And both are recognizable enough to generate some money.
