California,if I am not mistaken, does not require a follow up medical clearance to sign another contract.

Also KJ would be risking getting headbutted, or injured and not getting the Vit fight.
Thanks for the info. However, I have another doubt... If I'm correct KJ is only in a list of possible opponents for Klit, right? Klitschko can choose whoever he wants... I highly doubt that KJ would really be a mandatory, there is too many boxers ranked above him. PLUS, Klitschko always want the money fights and this is not one that will bring any kind of money. Honestly, I don't see this happening, unless Klit has really said that he wants KJ? IMO, canceling a big fight that everyone wants to see between two of the hottest up and coming prospects of the HW division (let's not get excited here, it's not like we had an exciting division at all) for having the chance of MAYBE beeing elected to have a title shot is not really worth it... Again, who am I? If I was a boxer I would definately take any title shot as soon as I had the chance, but I don't really see this happening. If Klitschko has said that he wants KJ for december, then go ahead, I just kinda don't see it happening and we will not have Johnson-Solis at the end of the day...

I agree with you on all but a couple of things:

First KJ's stock will rise due to Arreola's ranking dropping after the Vit fight (if he loses)

Secondly KJ is very popular in Germany, he serves as a sparring partner for the KLITS and other German fighters. He is probably the second or third most popular HW from the USA in Germany behind Tyson and Ali.....He will sell loads of tix for the fight, plus it will help promote the dismal HW division in the US, with Vit fighting back-to-back US HWs..

Who would you rather see Vit fight KJ or James Toney?

It's good to see Vitali will be taking on the younger contenders like Arreola and Johnson, instead of old shot fighters like Toney and Maskaev.

Exactly, it boosts Vit's appeal with the younger boxing fans, the American fans, and it will help secure his legacy....It will prohibit the detractors from saying Vit only fought past their prime fighters and blown up cruisers....Plus it shows that he and his promoters are dedicated to keeping him busy by already securing fight dates in the future.

The reason: Vitali Klitschko will fight again on Dec 12, and Kevin Johnson is at the top of a short list of potential opponents.

They must be very confident Vitali will defeat Arreola to do this.
It seems like a short time for Vitali to fight at the end of September and be back in the ring in December. Also, I think this is a big gamble for Team Johnson for him to pull out of a big fight in anticipation for a bigger fight that has not as of yet been planned..

This is just simply not true.

Eddie Chambers, Tony Thompson and Brian Minto are more well known and respected by German fans for coming there, fighting, and winning against big name European fighters.

Your statement is, for lack of a better word, asinine.

Um Chambers has never defeated a fighter in Germany (0-1), Thompson has maybe 3 fights in Germany, and Minto is 1-1 in Germany (losing to Krasniqi)...And no none of those three even compare to the respect that Germans (fight fans or not) show Johnson....KJ is highly regarded in Germany for his work with the Klits (sparring and charity work @ childrens' hospitals)........So your assessment, for lack of a better word, asinine.
