Is "Boots" Ennis the next big thing in boxing?

I think he’s super talented but he’s in a division with proven elite fighters. If there was a B level belt holder like a Brook or Alexander hanging around I’d put him in with them tomorrow but I’d be very cautious putting him in with a Crawford or Spence. If he fought Crawford next he’d probably get eaten alive IMO, that’s such a big step up from the Dulorme’s of the world.

We have debated this before but he can fight Spence and Crawford tomorrow and he's VERY live vs both. I think both know that as well. He's just different with his skill set and athleticism. Literally raised in the gym and been around fighters he's entire life. He's like Floyd in that regard and his work ethic is unmatched. Again, we need to see his chin tested bout if it does? Lawd have mercy!

Maybe based on the eye test, based on experience and resume though he’s nowhere near ready for a guy like Crawford IMO.
