Why do a lot of people like to put in the IF scenarios? I’ve heard it so many times that I’m not sure what to think of it anymore
IF Broner was disciplined, he would be great. He is NOT disciplined so he won’t be great.
IF Khan had a chin he’d be blah blah .. he doesn’t have a chin
IF the ref had allowed Hatton to fight his fight, he’d have beaten Floyd blah blah
IF the fight had gone another round, Chavez Jr would have beaten Sergio Martinez. Boxing is 12 rounds not 13
IF Marquez hadn’t landed a lucky punch, Manny would have won. It wasn’t a lucky punch but regardless, he landed it so … nothing.
IF Canelo fought Floyd today, he would bea Floyd. Floyd’s retired and is 44 years old so the IF scenario is just wishful malarkey

I’m not being critical of your point, just think about the big picture. Fury has a team of professionals, their job as a team is to get ready for a fight or they lose. It’s that simple.

It's all about psychology! In any fight, be it on the street or in a ring, a fighter's spirit and mentality is very important. Just look at Porter vs Crawford recently; from what he said, Porter had already decided to retire after this fight. I'm sure that affected him. You just don't have the same energy and fighting spirit when you know this is you last fight. And like I said, as good as Fury is, or his team is, you need all of your assets and focus to fight a guy like Usyk. That's all I'm saying. As for the "if's, well I guess it's just human nature to try and make predictions taking in account all information possible.

I appreciate your respectful response. People here tend to be too sensitive when someone opposes their opines.
I can agree with you on the psyche point. I think that’s what happened to Tyson in 2004 when he fought that flash in a pan Brit. Tyson was so dejected from the opening bell. It was pretty obvious he was there for the paycheck only

This is Fury. He’s been talking about retirement since he was about 23.

One day he says he’s fighting to 40 years old, the next day he says he’s fighting a couple of more times.

i wouldn’t read much into it.

he always turns up for his big fights.

That is also true... But it don't think it discredits what I have said.
