Takes 7 Rounds But Doesn’t Get The Decision

frequent dumb azz idea by boxing fans:

It wasn’t a robbery if the fight was close

How is it not a robbery if Fighter A clearly takes 7 rounds but the decision goes to the other guy

Decision goes to the wrong fighter. It’s a robbery.

      Swing rounds exist.

For example, the recent Kali Reis vs Jessica Camara fight.

      Rounds 1-4 were swing rounds
Rounds 5-6 were clear Camara rounds
Rounds 7-10 were clear Reis rounds

With that in mind, a very wide range of scores are possible.

I personally scored it 96-94 Reis, but a lot of people in the thread had it 96-94 Camara and that's fine too.

        Yes

what you like is apart of boxing scoring

what I find laughable are fans who say it wasn’t a robbery because someone won 3 or 4 clear rounds and was maybe competitive in the others

sometimes there are fights that are close, but clear. for instance, morales vs pac 1 is the first to come to mind. very competitive fight throughout, but morales definitely won.

something interesting tho, the scorecards for floyd vs castillo 2 was very close, yet everyone says floyd clearly won. i've never seen that fight, how was it?

            Floyd JLC rematch.

JLC took 3 to 4 rounds. Floyd will stick & move more when rematching pressure guys. Did it with Maidana too

1st fight I had him taking 5 to 6 rounds

            Floyd hardest opponent was Maidana.

Maidana didn’t get lucky with an injured Floyd

and did excellent work in BOTH matches

Definition of a robbery. The fighter you're rooting for loses a close fight.

some of those decisions were pretty dubious. are you saying whatever the judges say is the accurate result of what really happened in a fight? thats not true either.
