That’s some BS. Any top fighter can duck other fighters without seeming like it. For example, all Crawford had to do to duck the entire 147lb division was join Top Rank. This put him in line to have only Manny Pacquiao as the most competitive fighter he will ever need to face.
He did not need to worry about fighting any other top welterweight.
If you want to duck the best of a weight class, avoid joining the promoter who has the most top 10 fighters. Porter did the opposite. He went where most of the top 10 welters were.
So you're actually saying he should have ducked to preserve his record ..this is what you want out of pro boxers
You must be like big cum and noelanthony 1 (1).jpg
Porter always came to fight and ducked no one. I fighter that would actually say that wants to fight a top fighter and gets it done without hiding behind negotiations. Even when he lost his biggest fights he was competitive and was taken serious.

He lost all his fights. He wasnt able to fight bums because he has no fanbse. His style is awful. Thats ehy he was forcrd to fight names.
Fought the best more consistently than anyone else at WW
Even if his fights aren't always pretty they're always high energy and never dirty
Nobody's ever has an easy fight against him, win or lose
Has a genuinely pleasant and humble persona as opposed to many other prominent fighters who either come off as fake or are just straight-up unpleasant
Boxing needs more honest competitors like him. It's telling that while most of the guys under Al Haymon's wing were content to duck Crawford While I can't say that he hadn't earned the right to retire, and I do wish him a happy retirement, I do think him doing so was a loss to the sport.
Shawn's been a top 5 welter since 2013 and can definitely be considered one of the top welters of this era. He's fought everyone, won some a lost some. Danny, Ugas, Alexander, Broner, etc were all good wins at the time, some of the wins have aged better than others, but you got to give the man credit for fighting and remaining at the top level, in such a competitive division for so long.
Outside of that, Shawn is of the most genuine and humble fighters outside of the ring, he's a top man. Him and Kenny get a lot of hate but their accomplishments speak for themselves. A credit to the sport.
