Ali was known in third world countries, jungles and villages we've never heard of. As great as Jordan was....its not even a comparison. Imagine if Ali had the same type of exposuer with the inter net?

umm..so was jordan. Their commerical success doesnt even compare. Jordan can almost be compared to Michael Jackson. Just because ali fought in a jungle in africa doesnt mean every single jungle and village knew about him.
Jordan is credited for the huge success of hanes and nike.
This is a wrong question to ask in a boxing forum, there'll be alot of biasism.
Jordan without a doubt basketball is very big around the world. But i don't get why people would even watch basketball or football when you have boxing or kickboxing.
Ali definitely, you also have to take into account Ali didnt have the internet to help spread his fame, he got famous by fighting all over the world, exposing himself to many different people. Jordan was famous mostly in America, pretty famous in other parts of the world but not as much as Ali.
You people have a very America-centric view of the world, you have to take into account the whole world, not just the USA
They are both really well known but basketball ain't quite as big around the world as it is in US. Considering Ali's fame came before the age of internet or even satellite television i would say his fame is more impressive. Also Jordan is mostly known for basketball, Ali is as much known from boxing as from his struggle for equal rights.
