Comments Thread For: Gilberto Ramirez Will Be Looking To Knock Yunieski Gonzalez Out

Too much is at stake for "Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez for the undefeated Mexican to look past his December 18th showdown with Yunieski "The Monster" Gonzalez (21-3, 17 KOs) to World Boxing Association Light Heavyweight World Champion Dmitry Bivol.

I remember watching Gonzalez engage in an incredibly violent war with Jean Pascal on HBO back in 2015. A couple of years later, he looked completely shot as Gvozdyk took him apart in a few rounds. Fast forward half a decade and he's still lingering around the LHW fringe contender scene.

Zurdo is a step above Gonzalez and should be considerably fresher than The Monster. I figure Ramirez gets a highlight reel stoppage against yet another faded Cuban fighter. Should be fun while it lasts.

Zurdo continue to fight journeyman. What an embarassing move just to pad his record...
