If you don't think there is,then surely you can't name any examples in the history of boxing where 2 fighters from different eras/divisions resemble each other, because as I said no 2 boxers are alike completely, but theres similarities & I just watched both fights side by side, they are as similar as it gets in boxing when 2 guys are different sizes, from different divisions.
I can't, because there aren't similarities between them.

Other than the fact they're both southpaw, and both have black skin, there is almost nothing alike between them in regards to style of boxing.

Name me a few sets of fighters you think have more similarities between them than those 2,lets hear them.

Pick any modern Cuban They ironically fight with a similar style most of the time.

Polar opposite to Whitaker's style. Whitaker's style is largely in the pocket, Cuban's almost never fight in the pocket. It's the main reason someone like Lara is so far apart from someone like Whitaker.

Cubans tend to have very low output, Whitaker has a very high output.

        It's apples and oranges really.

Top of my head fighters from Brendan Ingle's gym tend to have very similar tendencies a lot of time time. Similar strengths and similar weaknesses.

Come on man, thats a cop out, name the actual fighters(iow like I keep saying of course no 2 fighters are completely identical(as evidenced by your not naming any 2 fighters who have more similarities than these 2) esp. in different divisions, but there are some definite similarities too)

And btw even though Lara doesn't like to fight in the pocket v Canelo(as I said hes chicken unlike Whitaker,& fought to spoil v Canelo rather than win like Pea did v JCC)

Lara still fights way more in the pocket v other fighters like Angulo for example iirc, just like in certain fights Whitaker is way more aggressive than others,v Tito he fought differently too)

Pt is that even the same fighter changes style between different opponents, but you'd be pressed to find 2 fighters who go as long not walking forward these 2.

I gave you an example. I can't really think of two specific fighters. Lara and Rigondeaux, their styles are pretty similar. Classic cuban style.

Regardless, it doesn't change the fact that Lara and Whitaker are polar opposites as fighters outside of being Southpaw.

Whitaker was shot against Tito, so, don't really see the relevance.

Whitaker is a versatile fighter, has loads of different styles to his game. Lara isn't versatile at all, fights one way. Another reason they're nothing alike as fighters.

Lara probably beats Floyd at 154.

Floyd wasn’t even prime at 147 to me and he looked horrible above 147.

Prime Lara was a nightmare at 154.
