People talk as if he is an elite fighter, but he is B-level at best.
Is Porter Overrated?

So now he is overrated because Crawford beat him. When Spence hardly beat him, it was called a great war.
So you are telling me Spence is B level? -
Yes, he's a solid fighter, but he gets way too much credit. Just because he's active and aggressive doesn't mean he's keeping the fight competitive. I think Spence and Thurman beat him pretty clear, but a lot of people will tell you it was close because Porter was aggressive. Most of time he's smothering his own offense. For a guy who does most of his work at short range he's bad at utilizing angles.Comment

He’s fairly rated, a tough B level guy who tested all the champs/elites of this era but couldn’t beat them. He lost to Brook, Thurman, Spence, Crawford, and should’ve lost to Ugas. Gave them hell but couldn’t close the show to get a win at the top level. Him and Danny are in a similar league, good fighters but a notch below the elites.Last edited by _original_; 11-21-2021, 06:46 PM.Comment

He is one of the top guys today, the division so far is not as good as the last era, you got TC Spence Thurman Porter and Ugas and a few young guns coming in, I don't think you could say there is an ATG amongst them though they are quality guys.
