yeah that could explain why he looked as if he didn't care about boxing anymore vs Rosado

Any guess who Charlo fights next? (Forget Benavidez.)

I think they're trying Lara. (Lara accepts, but manager Decubas want truckloads of $$$$.)

My psychic powers say he’ll fight a guy most of us don’t know. I’m just kidding. I’m not psychic.

Arias vs Hurd was fought at 154, not 160. Unless I'm missing something.
Middleweight Charlo doesn't need a lighter guy moving up at this point.
He needs a heavier one to prepare himself for the Canelo clash.

I no Andrade or Munguia then move up to 168 and finally fight Danny Jacobs

Getting more time by fighting a dude that can potentially beat him.

It was a catchweight at 158 which was probably one of the lightest Arias has been in his pro career. His fights against Rosado and Jacobs were at middleweight as well. It's surprising because Arias doesn't come across as a big guy but I don't think he's ever fought at junior middleweight although I could be wrong.

I'm sure there are other fighters out there that would better prepare him for Canelo but not sure that's the route he will take. I spitballed Arias because it's a fellow PBC affiliated fighter around his weight that feels like a matchup I could see happening.

We've seen this so much in the 160 and 168 pound divisions, smh. Everybody wants to fight Canelo but nobody wants to fight each other to make a case for a big fight. So, what happens? They finally TALK their way into big fights after wins over sub par opponents....just to get embarrassed on the big stage. You hate to see it, but this is where we are.

Jermall can pick another "TBD" opponent or a guy that's not as skilled but guess what? If he puts on another Montiel performance against a guy that he's supposed to beat easily, the focus will be turned on him for sure this time! No way in hell he should've struggled like that against Montiel but it happened and he can't run from it anymore.

I like Jermall but his career seemed to have stalled after the Williams fight. This is what happens when you're on your high horse and you put your career on hold for a Canelo and GGG fight; meanwhile, Canelo and GGG are fighting consistently and making a case to face each other (at least back then).

This is what happens when you talk your way into a $10M+ payday, stink up the joint and forget about boxing. He hasn't looked the same since Golovkin and I doubt he cares for the sport like that. I can't blame him but he did stink it up against Canelo and blamed the weight.

Charlo is still waiting for his phone to ring and it is the Canelo team on the other side. It is time for him to step it up.

Canelo's next fight after the Makabu fight would presumably be in September.
Is Charlo willing to wait that long?
