could Terence Southpaw Right Hook Crawford do it
I think it would be close as both are so adaptable, I’d favour Floyd though based on one reason:

The one shot Crawford seems to get caught with is the straight right and that’s Floyd’s best weapon.

I think Mayweather wins a 7-5 type fight.

Oscar size helped with applying that pressure. Second largest opponent of Floyd’s career
Floyd took the Oscar’s left hand away in the second half of the fight. That fight wasn’t quite as close as people make out IMO. Oscar won 5 rounds at most.

Yeah Oscar’s jab was gone when Floyd neutralized it with his own jabbing

Floyd showed all kinds of jabs that night to get rid of Oscar’s jab

          a prime Mayweather that was

He was at his peak athletically around that time. I went to the Hatton fight and that’s the best fighter I’ve ever seen live watching Floyd in 07.

The best Mayweather was the 2013 version though IMO. His ring IQ was just so high at that point and he’d still retained most of his speed, reflexes etc. I think that version of Floyd washes the the 07 version of Oscar 10-2 or even 12-0.

i'm sure you are just having a bit of fun. Mayweather didn't throw a punch for the first 3 rounds. He just walked forward and let Conor punch himself out. i have never seen a fighter start the round and then look up at the clock to see how many minutes he had left. De la Hoya fight would have been a better example

I think his walk around weight is probably 20 pounds heavier than Floyd's. I give Floyd a lot of credit - I think he fought very close to his weigh in weight a lot of times, during his WW days and up.

Basically I think Crawford walks around close to 180. I think Floyd walks around close to 160. I don't think Floyd fought too many guys as big as Crawford.

Still, I don't think Floyd fought too many guys, if anyone, as big as Crawford. Based on walking around weight/reach

Personally I feel Floyd was a bit uneasy early vs McGregor - McGregor is unorthodox in many ways - lefty, unique boxing style, and also, no film on him up to that point. But also I think Conor's size had Floyd cautious early.

I think Bud shares most of those attributes as well. One could argue Floyd carried him, or Floyd was past prime at that point. That former narrative is hard to believe for me. The latter is believable to a degree.

But yes I think Bud's size would have given Floyd problems, along with the skills Crawford possesses. It would not have been an easy night for Floyd, most likely. At some point Crawford would be likely to have success against Floyd, and Crawford is excellent when he finds an opening.
